  • Includes mp3 player, earbuds, and operating manual
  • Requires 1 AAA battery (not included)
  • 1 GB memory holds up to 680 songs

  • slick stick A friend of mine bought this for ten bucks and did not want it. After getting familiar with the menu controls I can't believe all the features in this 4 inch stick. It can be used as a flash drive music only and can record WAV. files from my computer. Only needs one AAA alkaline to power up on the go and needs no batteries at all when slipped into a USB port. I threw the original earbuds away and used a pair of Sony 32 ohm phones and I am very impressed with the Equalizer settings and overall sound. Whoever this company is Slick sure made a bang for your buck. If you can find it buy it and try it out. You will be impressed too.

Olympus VN 8100PC Digital Recorder 142600 Simple, and smart devise to record voice

Olympus VN-8100PC Digital Voice Recorder 142600 (Silver and Black)
  • Large LCD with Font Size Setting
  • 2 GB Internal Memory
  • 843 hours recording time
  • USB connectivity to email, edit and archive
  • MP3 and WMA Recording
  • Decent quality while it lasted ultimately a bad purchase Purchased this item for my son who is a college student. He was very pleased with the quality but just two months after purchasing this product I am having to return it. Started out by freezing and having to remove the batteries to get the thing to start back up. Then today it simply just stopped turning on.Look else where for a solidly built voice recorder.
Simple and smart devise to record voice I bought this devise to record myself and practice speech and pronunciation for interviews not for recording classes or conferences. I found it really simple to use and very reliable. It has characteristics that are advanced as mark some sections of your recording in order to come back to those sections immediately if you are in a long recording.I think I did a really good purchase.
    EXCELENT MP3 AND VOICE RECORDER
Everyone Needs One I'm a Real Estate Broker it is so handy to remind me of appointments and get all those for sales by owners. I love it so much I bought one for my daughter who is a very busy mother and needs to remember all the sports events groceries and meetings. The size is great and it's so handy wherever you are.Purchased it at Amazon great service.
DO NOT BUY OLYMPUS What a piece of crap. Bought this recorder for class lectures and it worked fine for 3 classes. After that it refuse to work and all of my recordings are stuck on the recorder. Thanks OLYMPUS for making me fail this class. Son of a $%^%$.
Olympus DVR Everything seems to be working. The box was sent promptly with the bare essentials included with instructions but I still need teaching in how to use it.
Awesome Recorder Great little recorder. Love the fact that you can plug it into the usb on your computer and drag the files off. USB recharges the batteries on the recorder too.
Excellent UI I have an older Sony digital recorder that has always been a pain to use. The Sony user interface feels like it was generated by the old soviet Department of Digital User Interface Design and Heavy Tractor Repair. Furthermore the Sony drained the batts fast. The VN8100PC is so simple and SNAPPY to use that there's really no need to read the very clear and complete onepage instruction foldout. I suggest you select the small font which is not really that small. Then the full menu tree is easily navigable and with fewer clicks.
Great recorder The recorder works great. It has plenty storage and the speaker is loud enough to review what i recorded. Read some bad reviews about the speakers and quality of MUSIC played with the recorder. Suggestion..buy an Ipod to list to music instead.
Just OK I looked at several digital recorders and landed on this one. It's small and seems to record OK. One thing I noticed is the voice activation sometimes misses the first few words of the speaker. This would be fine in many situations as long as ambient noise is low and you're not looking for a superfine recording.

Philips Flash Player 3 5 Inch Screen Not Bad, But Not Really Good Either

Philips SA61 4 GB Flash Video MP3 Player with 3.5-Inch Color Screen (Black)
    • Robust and portable 4 GB multimedia player with 3.5-inch color display and built-in speakers
    • Supports MPEG4 and WMV video files and WAV, MP3, and WMA audio files
    • Rechargeable Li-Poly battery supports up to 20 hours of music playback
    • Speedy USB 2.0 connectivity
    • Built-in FM radio and voice-recording feature
    • Highly recommend this player I received this player as a Christmas gift in 2007. I have used it almost everyday since then and this player is still working. The volume control is starting to need a bit more than one push but considering most electronic equipment fails after a year or so I don't consider this a big problem at the moment. I have bought a couple more as gifts and they too are still running. I had to return one twice as the one i got off ebay didn't work and i had to send it back to Philips. When the replacement was returned the screen was scratched I returned that one and it was also replaced. It is working fine according to the person I gave it to. The customer service was easy to work with. The Mp3 player is very user friendly. The only con I can think of is that I listen to ebooks and there is no bookmarking on this player. Maybe the newer ones have that now. I definitely recommend this player.
Impressive and Useful I recently received the SA6145 and I absolutely love it. I used WMP to transfer my music library simple drag and drop. I copied my pictures from my folder and dropped them in as well too. I haven't added any video but the sample looks great especially for something that fits in your coat pocket. I am using it right now and tried out the Equalizerit totally made a difference. Play a song and change it in the middle of a songMy pictures look awesome and it is really fun to take out the GoGear and share pictures with people when I'm out and about.I had some problems with songs not playing but that had nothing to do with the player but rather because the songs are copyright protected. There are ways around this I guess on the internet. All in all I am very pleased with this item.
good easy and portable I purchased this philips SA61 4GB MP3 player a month ago and at first i had a bit problem but i got replaced and now it works well. It's nice stylish and the picture and sound quality is amazing. All the problem i had is with the earphone so i bought another phillips earphone coz i felt the bass was less heard in the previous purchased one. All in all it's good and has proved worth buying to me.
Sleek but has some issues Wonderful design! Very easy to use and has a reset button which I used within a few weeks of purchase to reset it because it froze. The other mp3 players I've owned didn't have this feature and once they froze I had to return them. My main gripe with this product is that the shuffle function SUCKS. It repeats many many songs during a shuffle and leaves others out of the mix entirely. It hasn't been very friendly to my wma files either. Some will play some won't. It has a long battery life. It also fits in the Ipod nano socks which you need to protect the silver mirrorlike backing on the player or it will scratch.
a good deal on mp4 also the seller dont sell the mp4 at this priceit is surelly a pretty cool stuff 4 music lovers.i was seeking any good stuff 4 my favored musici checked the brandpriceand the capacityso i decided to buy this mp4.and it was proved to be a good deal.isu can found same stuff in ebay toosometimes maybe little cheap.
A great MP3 player but has some flaws I recently purchased this player from an online retailer and have owned it for over three months and I can safely say that I know it backwards and forwards. Overall it's a pretty great player but there's just some things about it that can really drive you up a wall. Before we list the pros and cons of the SA6145/97 here some specs straight from me1. 3.5 screen.2. 2 external speakers.3. Plays WMV9 WMV videos.4. Plays MP3 and WMA music via Windows Media Player 11 and 10 though functionality is limited.5. FM tuner.6. BlueTooth available but not on this model. Now on to the +s and s of this player.PROS1. The 3.5 screen is big and bright.2. The speakers although small can go LOUD. And yes they are good for playing music but are practically made for playing movies for a large party.3. The radio has wonderful reception and even scans for the best received stations in your area and saves up to 20 in it's preset.NEUTRALS1.BlueTooth is available but only on specified models SA6145BT/97. This model can't have BlueTooth put in so it's pretty much a negative as all models can't have it.CONS1. Converting is a tedious process. It takes FOREVER for videos to convert and isn't much faster when transferring them to your player.2. You cannot even drag and drop your WMV files to your player via your computer. It must be done by the converter.3. You cannot unplug the play when it is converting. If you do the player will continue to convert but won't transfer the file to player if you plug it back in. Not good if you have waited 3 hours for a 2 hour movie to convert.4. Rewinding and forwarding videos are a HUGE pain. It continues for a second then stops for two over and over and OVER.5. Music files must be transferred via Windows Media Player. If not no additional info will be included in the player's menu.6.
Somewhat works This is just an mp3 player. It does not work with ANY video I try to put on it and i've tried all types of video lengths and formats like wma. mp3. mp4. avi. and more. It does however have a pretty good battery life much longer than what the specs say on the packaging. Lastly like most philips players the sound quality is very good. Save your money and get a better one that actually works for videos.
Piece of Junk! have had couple months and it freaked out. I wrote philips told me to reset will not even do that. Always liked philips till this point know I will get ride of all philips crap I have started with this up to dvd system and tv's.
Not Bad But Not Really Good Either The concept is a good one but the execution is not quite up to par.The Phillips SA61 portable media player is one of those jack of all trades master of none players. It's music function is okay if lacking. It's video function is okay if lacking. It's picture viewer is okay if lacking. It's radio function is okay if lacking.I never made use of the voice recording program. In fact it's biggest issues are the features it lacks. For example with video play your movies have to be converted over with the Phillips Media Converter or 3/4 of the time it won't play. There are also no skip functions for in movie viewing just fast forward and rewind so if you're watching a long movie and want to move ahead a chapter or two you can move at 4x or 8x fast forward. The music function is alright but lacks real controls as well. For example playing a song is fine but there is no stop button. You can only pause or play and if you're not on the music menu function you can't stop a song at all or skip ahead. You have to go back to the music menu find the album find the song and then pause it or skip to the next song. The picture viewer is just that a picture viewer. You can turn the image sideways which is nice if you need to do so but there is no zoom no other options.
Good player for the price. For $6070 this is a good player. Nice large screen. The video conversion software is clunky but works. The finish is very slick so a case would help tremendously with not dropping this player and protecting the nice screen but none is currently available. Inique used to make one but doesn't offer it anymore. Tried a different case for GoGear SA3300 but it's just too small. You will need USB adapters if you want to charge this on a wall socket or car charger.

Immerse yourself in music, movies, and photos with the Philips audio and video player. View larger. View product details. Use the "SuperScroll" feature to view lyrics alongside your favorite songs. View larger. The compact form factor and discreet 3.5-inch screen size of the SA6145 are designed to make it easy for you to take music and video on the move. When not using the player's crystal clear 3.5-inch 320 x 240 QVGA full-color LCD for a memorable video playback experience, you can use it for easy folder browsing to find additional videos or music for further enjoyment. Sony ICDP620 Digital Recorder Compatible No support for Windows 7 64bit

Sony ICDP620 Digital Voice Recorder PC Compatible via USB
    • Powered by two AAA batteries (included)
    • Digital recorder with 512 MB built-in flash memory and USB connectivity.
    • Four message folders (up to 396 messages)
    • Supports up to 260 hours of recording time
    • Large LCD; day and time stamp
    • No support for Windows 7 64bit This dictaphone is brilliant apart from the annoying fact that it hasn't any support for Windows 7 64bit. Which in my case makes it useless.
Love it Can't Use it Sony doesn't provide 64bit support. The recorder is now useless to me. Will go with another company that cares about its customers.
Not Mac compatible Unbelievable that the ICDP620 Digital Voice Recorder does not have a USB mass device driver that would allow a Mac to download the recording files from it. It has been 4 years since its initial release and still Sony's software driver writers have not done something about this.
Design and Usability Issues I've owned the Sony ICDP620 for more than two years. I use it about once a month. Overall I give the Sony voice recorder ICDP620 two stars instead of one because I suspect the design engineer conceived of it for primary use in personal 11 scenarios. So some of my criticisms may be of no interest to you if all you need is a voice recorder to record a conversation between individuals who are in close proximity to each other like around a table. Except see THE OUTIE PLAY BUTTON.The pros the Sony voice recorder ICDP620 is compact records reasonably well and offers long battery life. This is true despite the factand this initially confused me to no endit does not have an on/off switch. You cannot switch the LED screen off. Ooops I'm getting ahead of myself. This is the pros section. I mostly use the Sony voice recorder ICDP620 in public venues and not 11 with another person. It records well in most environments like ball rooms as long as there's a decent sound source without too much bounceback from secondary sources like multiple audio sources or nearby hard surfaces. If there's background noise the audibility of the recording suffers. But this is not the device's fault of course. The cons poor design and usability make the Sony voice recorder ICDP620 a challenge to use and sometimes downright irritating.THE OUTIE PLAY BUTTON The Sony voice recorder ICDP620's play button is an outie or convex to sticks out from the surface of the device more than any other physical feature. There have been numerous instances when I've stuck the device in my pocket and a few minutes later wonder where all the noise is coming from only to realize it's coming from my pocket. This can be pretty embarrassing if I'm sitting in a meeting or listening to a speaker I'm not currently recording.
Suerb I read a lot and need a dictafone to collect all my thoughts. As an economics researcher I need a dictafone to record my random thoughts and ideas. This recorder has great capacity and the software that comes up with helps me work on teh audio files very well.
Battery Burner I have a unit that I have used for almost a year and I find that I need to replace the batteries high quality alkaline after about every 6 hours of use which I believe is too frequently especially since it will 60 hours of recording on HQ setting. It definitely should have a jack for an AC adapter. Recording quality is OK editing features are marginal and user interface both the unit and editing software is not intuitive.
No support for 64 bit Windows versions Sony does not provide drivers to interface this device to Windows 7 and Vista 64 bit versions. Once I got rid of my old XP based computer I have no way to access my recordings with my new computer. This is a puzzling limitation since all my other USB devices camera memory sticks backup disk drives work fine with my Windows 7. Very disappointed with Sony's lack of support reminiscent of what happens when you buy a cheap nobrandname accessory.
Better for Longer Recordings The pros It's small smooth light handy fits easily in your pocket has a long battery life and does the job of recording voice and reproducing sound adequately. You can record voices and other sounds from a distance. It's reasonably sensitive but not so sensitive it gets undermined by the sound of friction from inside a breast pocket or by the sound of road noise while driving in your car. That saidThe cons It's not great for doing what I do namely driving in my car and dictating. The control buttons are clunky and the off/hold switch located on the side requires that you remember which way is off/hold. I know that sounds picayune and stupid i.e. I should simply remember which is off. But when you don't use it all that much and the display is black LCD and you're dyslexic like me remembering which way is off/hold is a pain. I've also had it turn on several times in my pants pocket. You shove it in there and the switch gets pushed. Next thing you know you have 2 hours of recorded pants noises. Try it for yourself for a week and you'll see what I mean. Also I haven't figured out how to upload my notes to the computer. I'm a pretty savvy computer guy but I get annoyed when I can't plug and play with ease. In this case I don't have the inclination or the desire to frig around uploading my notes from this machine.Bottom line If all you want to do is record lectures and such it's OK. It's unobtrusive and as long as you hit the record button and let it run for an hour or more I think you'll be happy. It's only when you're doing a lot of stops and starts and pauses etc. that you might find it clunky and userunfriendly.Meanwhile If you want more from a recorder one that can record more than just voices and you can accept a larger package and about three times the cost take a look at the Tascam DR07.
Dreadful software support Using the unit standalone is fine once you spend half an hour getting used to it. The amount of handling noise the mic picks up does seem excessive but otherwise sound quality is fine. But the software support is beyond dreadful. Sony really ought to have just made this a generic massstorage device but no apparently that wouldn't be annoying enough. No problem install the drivers you say.Nope. To say that this was introduced to the market while Vista was out the lack of a 64bit driver is ridiculous. The PC link is a significant part of the device's value and the fact that Sony isn't supporting 64bit versions of Windows is mindblowing never mind the situation for Mac owners which is even worse as there is no support whatsoever for that OS.
Design issue Two problems with this deviceThe record button is inside the play button with the result that it is very easy to press them both at the same time and the recoding shuts off. It took me two years of annoying shutoffs to figure this out. The setup makes using the thumb on the rec button almost obligatory but the button is too small and indented to press with a thumb without also pressing play.Second problem the mike even when set for low sensivity for close recording picks up every leaf blower power tool crow call and freeway. Don't get it to use on walks.

Powered by two AAA batteries (included).Digital recorder with 512 MB built-in flash memory and USB connectivity..Four message folders (up to 396 messages).Supports up to 260 hours of recording time.Large LCD; day and time stamp. SanDisk Sansa Express Player Black Very, very frustrating

SanDisk Sansa Express 1 GB MP3 Player (Black)
      • A microSD™ expansion slot for additional memory capacity and come with capacities of up to 2GB, with higher capacities planned in the future
      • 15-hour, rechargeable lithium polymer battery life (Based on replacement; actual life and performance may vary based on usage patterns).
      • Cable-less “like a Express” battery charging and USB 2.0 connectivity
      • Digital FM tuner with FM recording
      • 1 GB Capacity
      • Excellent for the price I trust the SanDisk name. Their products are excellent especially their flash drives. I was impressed by the quality of this product considering the price and its size. It's not flimsy and recordings are very clear. I wish I had bought the 2GB instead of the 1GB. Unfortunately you can't record from the FM radio to the external flash memory.
100% Content I bought this device to be more mobile something that my Sandisk Sansa e280 not give me. I do not regret. Very simple to use excellent sound quality and very small. I'm pleased. An item to improve may be the memory. 1GB or 2GB today is wispy even with the possibility of the expansion card.
Fair product but quite glitchy. This MP3 player has fair sound but the equalizier option is useless. The product is also glitchy. I had to use the reset button right away because it stopped working.
worked great ONCE then died. It worked great once then died would not recharge couldn't be seen by any of our laptops couldn't jumpstart it with a firmware upgrade pressed the power button for 30 seconds nothing worked. What a shame if it continued to work it probably would have been a great gadget.
Good MP3 I used to have this MP3 player 1st time it busted from me charging it up too much 2nd time it busted cause the screen went blank.I love it but right now I'm planning to buy it again because of the few pre songs that it came with.Overall it's a good MP3 Player.
Very very frustrating The product details claim that with very little charging time the battery lasts for 15 hours. In fact with 8 hours charging time the battery lasts for 5 minutes. The product claims in it compatible with audible. Not True!!!The menu two or three slots each time you try to move one and for some inexplicable reason when you want to listen to music or audio it keeps jumping back to record voicenotes.
Overpriced I bought a 1gb sansa playser 1+ yrs ago for 12.95 don't think this is such a great dealplayer works pretty well but has some downsides ie seeing the display and the way it plays songs.
A bum of a productDon't waste your money & time After 5 hours of use it quit. Died. Have a replacement and it did the same thing! Died after one week. Now I'll go to WalMart and buy something that will work.
The candle that burns twices as bright My Creative Zen Nano just died after five or six years of loyal hard service so I went looking for another compact MP3 player to replace it. I weighed my options decided I didn't want to upgrade to more than a gig I can only listen to so much music at a time and settled on the Sansa Express. I'm also all about simple electronics I don't need anything resembling an iPod or the current Zen.Anyway I got the Express just a few days after my Zen Nano's demise woooo Prime! plugged it into my laptop to charge loaded it up to the brim with music plugged it into my car's Rockford Fosgate system and was blown away by how much better the sound quality was over the Zen Nano. I accidentally turned the volume all the way up trying to turn it off design flaw there and it was a glorious acoustic moment. I love that it charges via USB my Zen Nano chewed through AAAs like it was candied bacon the display is nice and bright the controls are pretty intuitive. It was a nice replacement for the Zen Nano.Until it died three days later.I'd plugged it in for its second lifetime recharge after half an hour or so the software that came with it said it was at 96% charge so I disconnected it. After that I tried playing a song. My playback options had reset which it had done on its own several times in the short time I had it so I set it on Shuffle and hit play. It selected the first track uploaded like it normally does and attempted to play the clock remained at 000 for about a minute no sound emerged then it crashed no button response and shut down. Haven't been able to turn it back on since and for what it's worth mine appears to be a V2 the packaging states it supports Audible files. So here I am stuck another weekend without car tunes. I bought it because I trusted the Sandisk name and reading the other negative reviews for the Express I'm not sure if I want to exchange it for another yet. I got it for $25 and in the time I had it I think the quality of sound earned its price tag so I think I can say I got what I paid for and it was nice while I had it but I wish it would have lasted a few magnitudes longer.
You Get What You Pay For It serves its purpose as it plays MP3s and holds a relatively large amount of audio files. The main problems I have with this is that it doesn't automatically go to the last file that was played before turning the MP3 Player off and the forwarding and rewinding of large audio files is very slow. I should have just paid a little bit more for one of the better models.

      • Quality Audio but Struggle with Digital Files I took a chance on this audio recorder for a college project requiring recorded audio. I wanted a quality recorder but didn't want to pay well around $100 for it so I found this recorder.Pros Good Audio Quality picks up background noise which may or may not be good for your situation just a think to know about this recorder Compact Size Button Lock Feature you can turn on a switch which will make all buttons unusable so your don't accidentally delete your files when carrying the recorder around. For me I really love this feature since deleting files done with about three button presses if the device turns on accidentally that could be a problem without this feature.
Colby CXR1902G Digital Voice Recorder w/Intergrated Speakers I was very pleased with the voice recorder I ordered. It was everything the ad claimed it to be. From the description all the way to the ease of operation. I would recommend this recorder to anyone who is looking for such a device you need not spend x amount of money when you could purchase this brand and get pretty much the same quality merchandise..
Excellent recorder I can play back with great sound because of the built in speaker. Excellent piece of equipment. I recommend it if you are looking for compact recorder.
Great for the price This is small and compsct but it works perfectly well. The onky downside is that it does not come with batteries you need to purchase AAA size batteries separately. Otehr than that it works perfectly well for the price.

      • Buyer beware I bought this product and I have two major problems with it. A It was hard to get it to cooportate with my PC and I never was able to get it to sincup so I could back up my files. and B .IT BROKE FOR NO REASON AFTER ONLY A SHORT TIME AFTER I PURCHASED IT! It was beyond the returnable period so I was stuck with ita device that swallowed up my importand voice files never allowing me to back them up then shut down all together now I'm out the $40 or $50or whatever it was I paid for it.
Mac Owners Beware This recorder is to the best of my experience effective for most applications. It is fairly easy to operate and the slide out USB port is a nice touch. What was not mentioned anywhere in the product listing is that Mac OS is not supported by the device. As a Mac owner I find myself unable to download my files onto the computer which is an issue to be aware of.
Okay purchase I bought this for one project I needed it for in nursing school. I found it pretty easy to use after looking at the instruction book. The only thing I didn't like was the sound. It wasn't very loud.
Died in a drawer I purchased this device for recording counseling session for educational purposes. I worked great the first semester. However after a summer of not being used it won't turn on at all. I have replaced the batteries twice otherwise I'm unsure what the problem could be. Still have to finish my coursework so looking to buy a new recorder and this time I plan to invest in a higher quality product.
Very nice Bought this item over a year ago for my wife so that she may use it during her classes and work meetings. She has not complained about it and to this date she is still using it with no problems. If your looking for something inexpensive this is one item i would recommend. PS shipping was quick once again.. Thanks Amazon.
I've owned much better recorders Recording on this is much more complicated than any other recorder I have owned. The user manual is useless. When I record I need it to be easy and fastI don't have time to press multiple buttons.
Excelente eleccion estaba buscando algo comodo y practico para poder escuchar mis grabaciones en cualquier parte y con esto lo encontré.. me ha sido muy útil para mis clases y mis estudios lo recomiendo.
easy to use! I use this recorder every week to record my clients in speech therapy. It's convenient with a built in USB port so you don't have to install anything on your computer. It's easy enough to work that you don't have to read the instructions although I recommend you test it first to make sure you know how it records before you need to use it. I've dropped it multiple times and it still works great! The only negative is that it's always using the batteries to display the time like a cell phone so the battery life isn't as good as it could be. Good deal for your money though.
Product is ok This voice recorder is pretty easy to use. It's very slim and easy to carry around. Feels a bit plasticy. Playback is ok. I wasn't real impressed with the sound quality. However its very inexpensive and does the job that you need it to do. Overall it isn't a bad item.
Feedback/Interference ruins recordings I have had this recorder for a while. For the most part the recorder works well and is easy to operate. However there is an intermittent problem with this digital recorder where it is prone to picking up feedback or interference in the area. Because there's no way to go back in many cases this is very maddening. I am now looking for another recorder because this recorder cannot be trusted.
